I’m Álvaro Barrena. I design and build websites that explain what you offer, give customers reasons to trust your work and make contacting you easy. For professionals and businesses starting out or ready to improve their current website.

A frontend rebuild to practise content structure, reusable styles and navigation across multiple pages.
Read the case studyA professional website that explains what you offer, who it is for and how to get in touch.
A landing page for a service or project, with a clear message and a specific next step.
Review its structure, content and design, then decide what to keep and what to rebuild.
The work behind your website
We organise your pages around what your visitors need to understand. We agree who provides the copy, images and translations before starting.
A visual direction suited to your work, with readable content, clear navigation and attention to keyboard use and accessibility.
Pages that load quickly, readable images and contact options that are easy to find. I check the experience on mobile and desktop so visitors can get to what they need.
I organise the pages around your services and configure the technical SEO to help search engines discover and understand them. The proposal also covers how the site will be published on your domain.
Google and AI search
Your website should answer the questions customers ask: what you do, who you help and how to hire you. I organise that information and take care of the technical setup so search engines can access and understand your pages.
Search rankings and mentions in AI answers depend on external systems. The service covers the agreed implementation and checks; it does not guarantee positions or citations.

Your activity, the purpose of the website, what you already have and any budget or timing constraints.
Pages, features, content responsibilities, revisions, price and delivery dates, set out in a proposal before development.
We review the visual direction and content, then I develop the website and check it across screen sizes.
We check links, contact methods and the agreed SEO setup. You receive the handover and an explanation of how updates will work.
A landing page and a website with multiple services, languages and integrations involve different amounts of work. Tell me what you need and I’ll prepare a quote with a clear breakdown of what it includes.
Your service information, logo and any photos you have are the starting point. If material is missing, we identify it early. Copywriting, photography and translation are separate services unless included in the quote.
The websites I deliver do not include an editing dashboard. Changing text, images or pages requires editing the project’s code or content files and publishing it again. If you are not comfortable doing that, you will need me or another developer to make the changes; that work is quoted separately.
Mention it before we start. This service is intended for websites maintained through code. If you need to publish or change content from a dashboard, we should assess a different solution. Astro can integrate with a content management system, but that is not included in this service.
The domain is your web address; hosting keeps the site online. Both may involve recurring costs. Maintenance covers later work, such as updating dependencies, fixing issues or adding content, and is separate from the initial development.
Having the copy and images ready helps the project move forward. The number of pages, custom features and time needed for feedback also affect delivery. If you have a launch date, mention it in your first email so I can assess whether it is feasible.
