Cookie policy

Which cookies are used, what they do and how to control them.

Last updated: May 31, 2026

1. What are cookies?

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser or device. Among other things, they are used to remember your preferences or to gather information about how the site is used. This policy is governed by Article 22.2 of Spanish Law 34/2002 (LSSI-CE) and by the cookie guidance of the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).

2. Cookies used by this site

This site does not install analytics or third-party cookies until you give your consent through the banner. Only essential technical storage is used to remember your decision about cookies.

Technical cookies (consent-exempt)

  • analytics-consent — first-party local storage. Remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies. Persists until you clear your browser storage. Not shared with third parties.

This information is stored using the browser's localStorage; it is not a cookie in the strict sense and is not shared with third parties. As it is used solely to manage your consent, it is exempt from authorisation.

Analytics cookies (require consent)

These are only installed if you accept analytics cookies. Google Analytics 4 is used to obtain anonymous, aggregated statistics about site usage.

  • _ga — third-party cookie (Google). Distinguishes users anonymously. Duration: 2 years.
  • _ga_* — third-party cookie (Google). Maintains the measurement session state. Duration: 2 years.

These cookies are controlled by Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC. You can review their data processing at policies.google.com/privacy. They may involve international data transfers, as detailed in the Privacy Policy.

3. Legal basis

Analytics cookies are only installed with your prior consent (Art. 6.1.a GDPR), which you give by clicking "Accept analytics" in the banner. Technical cookies are necessary for the consent mechanism to work and do not require authorisation.

4. How to manage or withdraw consent

You can accept or reject analytics cookies in the banner shown on your first visit. To change your decision later, you have these options:

  • Clear the site's local storage from your browser: the banner will appear again on your next visit.
  • Run window.resetAnalyticsConsent() in the browser console to reset your choice.
  • Configure or delete cookies from your browser settings. Here are the official guides: Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge.

If you reject analytics cookies, the site will continue to work normally; only usage statistics will no longer be collected.

5. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated to reflect technical or legal changes. Any modification will be published on this page. If you have any questions, you can write to alvarobarrena.dev@gmail.com.
